The Atari '1090XL expansion system'

The Atari '1090 XL Expansion System' offered five slots for expansion cards, e.g. 80 columns adapter, Z80 adapter, memory expansions, etc. It can be connected to computers of the XL-series via the PBI-bus (except the 1200XL). Atari developed some expansion cards for the 1090 XL but never released them (as the 1090 XL itself).
