Atari 'Game Brain' (C-700)

The Atari Game Brain was Atari's first cartridge based video game console until the '2600'.

But in difference to the '2600', the 'Game Brain' was nothing more than an empty plastic box with no major circuitry.

The circuitry of the 'Game Brain' came with the actual cartridges, i.e. the 'Game Brain' was no programmable system at all: it just 'powered' the circuitry on the cartridges.

The games were all based on already existing stand-alones from Atari: 'Stunt Cycle', 'Video Music', etc.

Atari heavily focussed on the promising Atari '2600' and finally pulled the plug from the 'Game Brain'.
