JaguarCD - media tech

The JaguarCD format is a multi-session audio CD. The CD is recorded in CD-DA 'raw data' format with Motorola byte-ordering, so there are 2352 bytes per sector, or block.

The minimal JaguarCD layout would look like this:

Session 1 / Track 1: '.wav' file (any valid red book audio file)
Session 2 / Track 1: Jaguar boot track

The JaguarCD does not contain any file structure.

Due to the 'raw data' format of the CD, there is NO error-correction available; this makes possible a capacity of approximately 790MB / disc.

Because of the missing error-correction, it is vital to backup your original Jaguar CDs.
