Atari's pinball machines On November 17th, 1976 Atari made its first steps on the pinball market: 'Atarians' was to be introduced. They released quite a few machines including 'Time 2000' (1977), 'Airborne Avenger' (1977), 'Space Riders' (1978), 'Middle Earth' (1978), 'Hercules' (1979) and 'Superman' (1979). 'Hercules' was one
of the largest pinball machines ever to be released: it was so huge, that
Atari had to use cue balls(!) instead of 'regular' pinballs!
